Winter Submission - The Redux One Sheet ( if you change everything it's basically a new broom)
The one sheet (as cleverly named as it is) is a single sheet of a product that is meant to be a summary and infographic for what the product you are making is. In this case the one sheet for our game has to summarise the game and most of its aspects (not tell the story, but convey the mechanics).
Here is the text version of our one sheet, or more accurately the concept overview;

Ultimately this is to quickly sum up aspects of a game so they can be worked on in terms of advertisment or endorsement for the game, it would be pretty bad if a marketing team rambled how action packed a game about finding inner peace would be.
Now onto the nice prettied up one sheet, which is a chance for me to put my AS level in graphics to good use here, this sheet is less drawing and more presentation, it takes the bullet point approach above and asks for it to be all dressed up. it's basically like a wrestler trying to 'sell' during a match.
I think I did an excellent job in making the one sheet look professional, i made use of a bunch of imagery in the background like old newspapers and a detectives badge to capture the era and theming of my game. plus aspects like the font looking like old type, and the images having Polaroid borders all adds to this theming without consuming excess space.
A small subplot of mine is also to use the language of flowers to describe many of the characters the player would meet in game, so adding floral themed borders really added to the overall impression i wanted.
As for the text i made sure to use facts of how i wanted my game to operate but phrased them in the very media-centric language to get people interested and invested into my ideas.
The improvements i could have made might have been to improve some of the colour variety (though this was slightly due to trying to mimic a newspaper theme) and making some areas of font have higher visibility.
