February Round Up Post (I will not. Stop making bad jokes in my titles) (part 4)
The Finale is here, for this month at least. (though considering we're halfway through march already this is gonna get weird at the end of that month.
Some very brief warm up sketches for the week, but at least the shading and form comes through fairly well in these.
Right this time I'm deliberately switching the order of things to give myself some peace of mind; We had another segment of doing one minute sketches and man is that still hard, you get a slightly slow start and you have to rush even harder than before, some of these i don't like as much since i think it's harder to see the form of the body.
Playing with some colour this week, tried some pink and purple colouring on two pieces that i did with varying techniques, the purple i just used as a shader and it did help the shading pop out, the red drawing i seperated out a little more too give a more comic vibe and it helps compensate for my lack of experience with colouring on a canvas, but both look quite vibrant.
Here's a fun little thing to wrap this month's box up, i made a dotted line piece using a paw print shaped marker, which was pretty all over the place, it was hard to tell what marks would display the full print or only a partial amount and knowing how to space out the marks to make them look good was a nightmare. Despite that though it was fun and made me laugh a little while doing it.
a good week for colour, but i guess give and take demanded that i wasn't "up to speed" for this session, i should work on speeding up how much warming up i need for sketching, should reduce the time it takes me to get going when i need to.
